Geologic Time Ordovician Period


Summary


The Ordovician period begin in 490 million years ago and end around 443 million years ago, which was the second period of the era. The name Ordovician came from Ordovician from the ancient British tribe. By the Ordovician period all the north was almost entirely ocean and most of the world’s lands were connected in the super-continent Gondwana.The geologic events during the ordovician period were that the land were connecte in super-continent gondwana,during fisrt part of the ordovician period the climare was fairly warm,the atlantic ocean closed as europe moved towards north america.The life on earth ere the trilobites,jawless fish,gastropods,echinoderms,and graptolites.

   What i enjoy the most about this project is to look for information      and pictures in the internet and also share my project with the group.

   The most challenging about this project was to speak out in front of the group and answer the question they asked.

    What i change about this project was the name of some of the pictures.

    Three thing that i learned from this project was the life on earth   during the ordovician period,the geologic events and stratigraphy.

The STars

What is a star?


A star is a ball made up of hot air and gas.they all have different sizes and colors.There is many different types of stars  like the:super giants, the giants, the white dwarf, and the main sequence stars.In the center of the stars is where the heat is made, that is made by the nuclear fusion. Stars are classified by categories, like types of stars, colors, sizes, ages, luminosity, temperatures and spectral class. .Nuclear fusion help stars to make energy. It is the process of the nuclear reaction change two hydrogen molecules into a helium molecule and energy inside the stars.The lifecycle of a star it show the process of stars  before they were born, during their life, and after they died. Every stars are born with giant clouds with dust and gas, this is called stellar nebula. But there is a different cycle between sun-like stars, huge stars and giant stars.The Stellar Nebula is where a star is born then becomes a protostar (baby star). As the star gets older and older it becomes a Red Giant. The life of a star has 3 types in the stellar nebulaSun-like starshuge stars and giant stars. All these types shows how a stars is born and its lifestyle. The H-R Diagram of a star tells where to find the main sequence, white dwarf, giant and supergiant are located on the diagram.

1.Is the coldest planet in the solar system,Uranus actually gives off less heat than it absorbs from the Sun.
2.Uranus is turned over on its side,the tilt of Uranus is 99-degrees.

1.What effect does water temperature have on the creation a hurricane?
    The water temperature effect on the creation of hurricane is that the water temperature      cause the hurricanes,the warm temperature of the ocean cause hurricanes.


2.Why would there be more damage to an area during high tide?
    There would be more damage to an area during a high tide because the high tide comes    strong and becuase it's high so it can destroy and damage an area fast.


3.If an area is fully saturated,how will this be more dangerous for an area?
   If an area is fully saturated it would be more dangerous for an area because the soil would be very wet and it would be easy fo the trees to broke down.


4.Why would there be more flooding if the ground was fully saturated?
    There would be more flooding if the ground was fully saturated because flooding covers the areas that are usually dry.

1.What is something that you liked about this mini-project?
    Something that i liked about this mini-project is that i learn so many things and that we got to work in group.


2.What was difficult for you in this project?
    Answering some of the question was difficult for me because in some of them i dint know the answer.


3.What would you change about your work on this project?
   I would try to do it better and to answer questions better.


4.How did this project help you learn about Hurricane Irene?
   This project help me learn about Hurricane Irene more, like knowing the differents parts of it ,how it occurs and understand more about Hurricanes.
